While a big percentage of new business will walk into the hundreds of shopfronts across the UK, the national support centre also takes pride in delivering qualified leads from the national marketing activities.
James Mattam, Group Business Development Director, said: “Our accountants have reported being very busy, and have been delighted with the volume of personal tax returns and businesses owners looking to appoint an accountant during January and February. The inbound sales team at the Support Centre have experienced high volumes of new clients calling in, and in anticipation of this, we increased the size of the team to manage the expected demand.
“We qualified over 1,300 leads to the network during January and over 1,100 in February. March is also looking to be a strong month for new business leads so we’re excited about the results we can achieve for the franchise network during 2022.
“Tax season is naturally a busy time for the accounting industry and this year it was extended into February, with HMRC confirming that no late filing penalties would be applied during this month, so we’ve seen new business enquiry numbers surpassing previous years’ monthly totals.
“We pride ourselves on the power of the TaxAssist brand and its ability to attract new clients for our network of over 375 franchised practices and it’s fantastic that our campaigns have proven to be so effective.”
With more than 400 TaxAssist Accountants offices nationwide, the network provides accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings and tax advice to 77,000 customers including sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and personal taxpayers.
