Daren Moore FCCA, Group Commercial Director, said: “We want to provide our franchisees with access to flexible, affordable and reliable specialist services, helping them to support and retain clients, deliver a broad range of services, win new business and drive fee growth and profitability.
“Both services are being well used by the network, and we have recruited new staff to ensure they can stay ahead of demand and build capacity.”
About the Tax Consultancy service, Daren added: “We are constantly developing and expanding the breadth of services the tax consulting team provides to meet the needs of the network.
“Research and development claims remain a key area for franchisees but we now provide a range of corporate and personal tax consultancy. We have also recently launched an inheritance tax planning service which is proving popular and we will be developing our international tax planning services over the coming months. These are aimed at helping franchisees with non-resident, non-domicile and worldwide disclosure needs.”
The TaxAssist network are impressed with the service and its ability to enhance their offering to clients.
Sarah Kay and Martin Thomas, TaxAssist Victoria and Clapham Junction, said: “We have referred a number of our clients to the Tax Consulting service over the last few years with great success.
“The team are extremely knowledgeable and conscientious and provide in depth insights to everything from advice on tax planning structures to bespoke tax queries. Their work has been of great value to many of our clients who have more complex tax issues and enhances our own credibility as a full service practice.
“It has been rewarding for us to be able to offer specific and expert advice in areas where we have less expertise but still within the TaxAssist brand. In particular, the Tax Consulting team has prepared a number of R&D Claims for our clients with a success rate to date of 100%.
“We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the service as a resourceful support system to any practice.”
Payroll services are seen by clients as business critical and provide a significant service line for TaxAssist Accountants franchisees, generating a steady income, regular communication and loyalty from clients.
Daren added: “Our in-house payroll team offers a reliable service to franchisees at significantly reduced fixed costs of delivery, frees up their time and provides the ability to cross sell according to the clients’ needs.”
For Tess Blayton, TaxAssist Accountants Newton Abbot, the service comes highly recommended.
“Handing over our payroll was something of a daunting task for me but Coral Bonner-Wright and her team have been absolutely fantastic throughout the process. Information was sent in plenty of time for me to prepare and I have always been able to get a quick response by email or telephone to help with any queries.
“The online aspect of the service itself is easy to get the hang of and the team have been on hand to assist me whenever I’ve needed them. Each contact I’ve had with the team has been very friendly and professional and I have every confidence in them.”
For Daren, investment in both teams remains a priority as well as having an eye on future opportunities: “We will continue to build our tax planning and payroll services and will review other service lines that we may be able to introduce to help franchisees.
“Many exciting plans are in the pipeline, which we believe will be a massive draw to clients. These will provide new revenue opportunities for franchisees and will enable us to further develop our brand and positioning on the high street as THE one-stop-shop for businesses. Watch this space.”
