Weston-super-Mare based TaxAssist Accountants franchisee John Mayer invited the local business community to join him for a celebratory party at his shop on Drove Road on 16th October 2015 to help him and his team celebrate 15 years of working in the town.
John, who is current Chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses in Weston-super-Mare & District and also Vice Chair of the Somerset & Wiltshire Region, set up his TaxAssist Accountants franchise in 2000 and now employs a team of seven, while looking after the tax and accountancy needs of more than 350 small local businesses.
John and the team were joined by local dignitaries including John Penrose MP, the Mayor, Councillor Raymond Armstrong, Chairman of North Somerset Council Charles Cave and members of the local business community for an evening of live music, food and wine from local suppliers including The Hog Roast Company and The Wine Shop in Winscombe.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our local community and it’s important that we continue to support them to help our high streets thrive again,” said John Mayer. “This party is an opportunity to say thank you to the local business community for their support over the past 15 years.”
Karl Sandall CEO of The TaxAssist Group attended the event and was full of praise for John and his achievements. “John Mayer has been a fantastic franchisee to work with. He’s always followed our business model and his success is testament to this, along with his drive and personality. John has now built up a sizeable business of which he should be very proud.”
