Lloyd Evans and his team are celebrating a successful start to the year after seeing a dramatic increase in business. Lloyd, who has been a TaxAssist Accountants franchisee since 2012, services almost 700 individuals and small businesses from his two shops which cover Wolverhampton and Kingswinford in the West Midlands.
This year, the company has reported a 56% year-on-year increase in the number of local businesses coming to them for help filing their tax returns. They saw the biggest increase yet of people opting to file online, rather than on paper, with 89 per cent of clients using HMRC’s online service.
Lloyd comments, “Small businesses face ever-increasing financial and administration challenges, which add to a tough, competitive market place.”
“Over the years we’ve developed a reputation locally for our jargon-free advice and the support we give small businesses and start-ups, which helps free up their time to do what they do best – run their businesses.”
“Our business grows through word of mouth recommendations and it’s great to see such a significant increase in referrals.”
